Divine Comedy's whirlwind tour
Singer Neil Hannon will tomorrow take the Divine Comedy on a whirlwind tour of the country.
Hannon, fresh from last month’s tour across the US and Canada, has planned to squeeze in six concerts over the next week.
The band will be playing songs from their current album, Absent Friends, which was released last March, as well as old hits like National Express, Something for the Weekend and The Frog Princess.
The songwriter, who was born in Derry, has been living quietly in Dublin for the past two years with his wife Orla and his daughter Willow, who is almost three.
Hannon will play the Waterfront Hall as part of the Belfast Festival at Queen’s after their date at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.
Divine Comedy, whose Live EP will be available to download from their website later this month, will perform with the Ulster Orchestra at the Belfast concert.
The singer will then head to Paris for a performance at the renowned Les Folies Bergeres venue.
