Author of McCarthy’s Bar dies after battle with cancer

The award winning author of the bestselling novels McCarthy's Bar and The Road to McCarthy has died.

Pete McCarthy, also a broadcaster, travel writer and humorist, lost his battle against cancer on Wednesday.
