Franz Ferdinand, Jamelia, and Robbie Williams were among a clutch of British stars nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards today.

Franz Ferdinand, the winner of this year’s Mercury Prize, outshine their British rivals, with three nominations for Best New Act, Alternative, and UK and Ireland Act.
