McFadden to divorce

Showbiz couple Brian and Kerry McFadden are to divorce after two and a half years of marriage.

TV presenter and former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry moved out of the couple's home in Ireland last month (SEP04) and moved into a house in Cheshire, northern England with their children, Molly, three and Lily Sue, 18 months.

Kerry had been angry with Brian for weeks, due to the amount of time he was spending away from the family as he launched his solo pop career with the single Real To Me, which ironically is about his pain at being separated from his wife and kids.

Brian confirms: "It's not likely we'll get back together. We'll divorce.

"But we haven't talked details because at the moment, for the sake of the kids, we just want to get our lives straight.

"We're still friends and I still love Kerry very much."

Brian admits he hasn't seen Kerry for five weeks and they decided to split in a telephone call on 20 September for "personal reasons".

However Kerry claims Brian ended the marriage, saying: "Brian left me. I did not leave him."
