Driver stalls on the grid

Minnie Driver has backed out of a five-day motor rally at the last minute, leaving organisers fuming.

The Good Will Hunting star was due to take part in the Wanadoo Bullrun trip - which starts in London and ends in the Balearic island of Ibiza - and had been allocated a luxury car by event promoters.

But an insider reveals: "Minnie went down to the Met Bar (in London) along with the other participants.

"She plonked her luggage down, looked around for a bit, clearly didn't like what she saw and scarpered. I think it was just a case of other commitment on the day."
