Brook's dad still friends with ex Statham

British actress Kelly Brook's split with her boyfriend Jason Statham has failed to deprive

her father of the son he never had.

The Smallville star officially ended her five-year romance with the Snatch actor after becoming close to her co-star Billy Zane on the set of forthcoming movie Three.

But Brook's dad - Ken Parsons - is still in contact with Statham and the pair talk over the phone.

A family friend says: "Kelly's dad has said to her that Jason is the son he never had. He and Jase have been talking lots on the phone."
