Gabriel Byrne is playing an alcoholic dad in actor Richard E. Grant's directorial debut in the recently-completed Wah-Wah in his native Swaziland.

Julie Walters, Miranda Richardson, Emily Watson and Nicholas Hoult co-star in the story of a dysfunctional family mirroring the end of British rule in the l960s.
