Crowe to direct

Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe is set to take on a new role in the movie world - as a director.

The New Zealand-born A Beautiful Mind star is reportedly considering making his directorial debut next year, for a film based on John Hepworth's novel The Long Green Shore.

But Crowe won't be just behind the camera - sources say he is considering taking on one of the roles in the upcoming World War II film, possibly even the lead.
