Commissioner for Venice exhibition named

Sarah Glennie has been named as the commissioner and curator for the 2005 Venice Artist Biennale.

Ms Glennie proposes to show Ireland's exhibit in Ireland following its return from the Venice art exhibition in 2005.

At present, Ms Glennie is carrying out research and planning in relation to the artists to be chosen to represent Ireland at the event.

Minister for Arts John O'Donoghue made the announcement today.
