Spears and Federline's hometown honeymoon

Newlyweds Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have chosen a familiar location for their honeymoon - the star's hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana.

The happy couple - who married at a private home in Studio City, California, on Saturday - spent 48 hours locked away in their suite at Los Angeles' Bel Air Hotel to celebrate their nuptials before embarking on a romantic break.

And they've reportedly travelled back to the south in a private plane to recall memories of their big day in the comforting surroundings of her family town.

On Wednesday, America's US Weekly claimed the pair's nuptials on Saturday were a hoax aimed at allowing them to wed away from the media spotlight next month - an allegation Spears has vehemently denied.
