Booker Prize shortlist unveiled

The shortlist for the Man Booker Prize was announced today in the UK.

The six books in the running for the £50,000 (€73,168) prize are:

:: Bitter Fruit – Achmat Dangor

:: The Electric Michelangelo – Sarah Hall

:: The Line of Beauty – Alan Hollinghurst

:: The Master – Colm Toibin

:: I’ll Go To Bed At Noon – Gerard Woodward

:: Cloud Atlas – David Mitchell

The winner will be named on October 19 at a ceremony in the Royal Horticultural Halls in Westminster, central London.
