Ben replaces Bill

Ben Affleck has replaced recovering Bill Clinton as the host of Saturday Night Live, as the American satirical show gets set to start its 30th season.

Former US President Clinton was invited to make his debut on the comedy show, which starts a new run on 2 October (04), but health matters and a hectic schedule have prompted the politician to decline the offer. Clinton underwent open- heart surgery earlier this month.

This will be Affleck's third Saturday Night Live hosting stint. He last appeared on the show earlier this year when he poked fun at his romance with Jennifer Lopez.
