Dion extends Las Vegas contract
Singer Celine Dion has thrilled fans by extending her blockbuster Las Vegas live show for another year.
The Canadian star's musical extravaganza "A New Day" at the Caesars Palace hotel opened in March last year for a three-year run, but the show's spokesman Kris Lingle has confirmed she'll continue performing in the gambling hotspot until 2007.
Lingle said: "It's been a great success for everyone. The fans have absolutely loved the show. The response has been great."
Dion was reportedly being paid $100m (€82m) for the original three-year run of five 90-minute concerts a week.
