Teen rocker Avril Levigne has got engaged to her Sum 41 star boyfriend Deryck Whibley after a whirlwind romance.

The 19-year-old singer has been secretly dating fellow Canadian, Whibley, 24, since the beginning of the year and was annoyed when their relationship was outed following the publication of photographs of the pair canoodling on a sun lounger by a Los Angeles hotel.
