U2 nominated for Hall of Fame award

Grandmaster Flash and U2 are among the nominees for the 2005 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the United States.

Randy Newman, The O-Jays, the Furious Five and The Pretenders are also among the 14 artists up for the vote. An international panel of about 700 music experts choose those who will be inducted. The results will be announced at the end of the year.
