Canadian superstar Celine Dion is to be honoured for being the best-selling female artist of all time at the World Music Awards on Wednesday.

Dion will be presented with the Diamond Award - which can only be presented to artists who've sold over 100 million albums - by Michael Douglas at the ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The singer has won seven World Music Awards since she first picked up the honour for Best Selling Canadian Female Recording Artist Of The Year in 1992.

Previous recipients of the Diamond Award include Rod Stewart and Mariah Carey.
