Hefner to star as himself in cartoon series

Playboy boss Hugh Hefner is in talks to voiceover his own cartoon likeness in legendary animator Stan Lee's new TV series Hef's Superbunnies.

In the adult cartoon, a silk pyjama-clad superhero fights crime with the aid of a combat group of Playboy bunnies.

MTV bosses have commissioned a pilot for the show, in which Hefner will be animated.

Hefner says: "Stan and I go back a long ways, and he simply felt it was time for me to reveal my secret identity.

"(People) know me as the editor in chief and publisher of Playboy. But late at night, when everyone assumes I'm in the grotto living the good life, I'm out there with the Superbunnies fighting evildoers.

"This project is going to be a lot of fun... It's going to be very satirical with a lot of cutting-edge aspects to it."
