Dupri: Janet was victimised

Janet Jackson's boyfriend Jermaine Dupri is disgusted at the treatment the singer received following her breast-exposing scandal.

The music producer and manager claims Jackson was victimised after she accidentally exposed her breast during a half-time performance with Justin Timberlake at the Superbowl in February.

And he fails to comprehend why the media decided to make an example of Jackson when wild rocker Courtney Love acts genuinely outrageously on a regular basis - and escapes the wrath of the public and press alike.

Dupri, who is also Jackson's manager, says: "People tried to condemn Janet over a real malfunction. Somebody like Courtney Love has been coked up, and nobody says nothing.

Courtney can p*** onstage, and still be on TV."

He also hits out at claims the incident was a planned publicity stunt, like Britney Spears' kiss with Madonna at the 2003 MTV VMAs - insisting Jackson doesn't need to rely on gimmicks.

He says: "People really want to believe that Britney and Janet are on the same level. Janet has sold millions of records, why would she have to flash a boob to generate record sales?"
