Beckhams confirm pregnancy rumours

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and her soccer star husband David are expecting their third child.

After weeks of speculation, the couple have released a statement confirming Victoria is almost three months pregnant and due to give birth in early March 2005.

The statement reads: "This is fantastic news. We are both absolutely delighted. We are planning to have the baby in Spain."

The news marks the ends of a traumatic six months for the Beckhams - who have two sons, Brooklyn, five and 23-month-old Romeo.

David's money-spinning transfer to Spanish club Real Madrid last year has been marred by allegations he had an affair with his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos.

But a friend recently said of the couple's happy news: "Victoria's over the moon. She's had a touch of morning sickness, but for the rest of the time she can't stop smiling.

"She's had no real work commitments at the moment - it's the perfect time to have another child."
