Twain's brother arrested for drugs

Country star Shania Twain's brother has been arrested for drug possession after he was pulled over by police in Canada.

The That Don't Impress Me Much star's younger half-sibling Darryl Twain was caught by cops in Edmonton after they recognised a vehicle matching the description of a car involved in a shooting last month.

Police spokesman Andy Weiler says officers discovered more than 170 pieces of rock cocaine in the car, valued at almost $5,400 (€4,490).

Twain has been charged with having drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a drug, and possessing the proceeds of crime. He was released on bail after questioning.

Twain - along with his brothers-in-law Franklin Logan and Jason Logan - are due in court on September 3.
