Eastwood wants laws outlawed

Screen legend Clint Eastwood is so fed up of America's seemingly endless list of laws, he believes there should be a new law to scale them all back.

The Dirty Harry star, who was once the mayor of Carmel, California, finds the legal system far too complicated nowadays.

He says: "There ought to be a law against too many laws. The problem is we've got too many laws and none of them are being enforced. We're always trying to enact something and so we just kind of make a cumulative thing of a massive amount of laws.

"If we're gonna make laws, we should enforce them and then they should be a benefit to all of society. But if we're just gonna make them and then shelve them then I don't think that works."
