Lethal Weapon star arrested at Sudan protest
Lethal Weapon star Danny Glover has been arrested outside the Sudan Embassy in Washington DC during a heated protest march.
Glover - who was taken into custody by police yesterday - was charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful assembly after he spoke to a crowd calling for a peacekeeping force to stop violence in western Sudan.
He says: "We want an end to the hostility. We must continue to put pressure on the Sudanese government. We must continue to demand justice and we must continue to demand peace for the
people of Dafur."
The United Nations has called the situation in Sudan's Dafur area the worst humanitarian crisis in the world - which has seen one million people fleeing attacks by pro-government Arab militias.
