Elliott incurs mother's wrath over cars

Missy Elliott's mother has been telling her daughter off for her fixation on purchasing cars.

The Get Ur Freak on star gets carried away with owning vehicles and even buys modes of transport she has little idea to operate - much to the chagrin of her mum.

Elliott says: "I am nuts for cars. My mother was just getting on me 'cause I bought three new cars in one year.

"I'm surprised the credit people still lend me the dough. I bought a scooter, hooked it up with rims, got it painted - and I don't even know how to ride.

"I spent like $5,600 (€4,500), tried riding it in a parking lot, crashed and never picked it up again."

The hip-hop artist is considering swimming lessons so she can enjoy her pool at her estate in Virginia.

She explains: "I don't have a living room, just a big pool. I can't swim. My dogs jump in the pool and they're stuck swimming for, like, an hour trying to get out because I can't help them. I need to take lessons."

She also wants to bungee-jump - spurred on by the sight of former American President George Bush jumping out of the plane for his 80th birthday.

Elliott comments: "I was like, 'Aw, get the hell out of here. Now I have to go bungee-jumping'."
