Rasmus return to Dublin
Having made their Irish debut with an intimate sell-out show at the Temple Bar Music Centre in June, Helsinki four-piece The Rasmus return to Ireland for a date at Dublin’s Ambassador on November 7.
The Dublin show promises to be a special night for the band and their fans as it’s the final night of their Summer/Autumn tour, which kicks off this Friday, August 20, in Switzerland.
The tour takes in shows across Scotland, England, Turkey, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, France, Germany, and Russia before heading back to England and then to Dublin for this gig at The Ambassador.
The Rasmus’ infectious In The Shadows single entered the UK top 10 at number three and went top-10 in Ireland upon its release.
It remains one of the most-requested songs on the airwaves and has been followed by the new top-20 single Guilty.
Both songs are taken from the band’s one-million-plus-selling album Dead Letters, which has already gone number one in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The Rasmus’ 1996 debut, Peep, rapidly went gold in their homeland, making the members rock stars at the age of 16.
Their 1997 follow-up, Playboys, also went gold and earned the group an Emma, Finland's version of a Grammy.
Their third album, Hell of a Tester, included Liquid, a track that was voted Best Single of the Year by Finland's music critics.
2001's Into went double platinum, with its single, F-F-F-Falling, going to the top of the Finnish charts.
