Leto jokes: I'm gay!

Hollywood hunk Jared Leto shocked a journalist during a recent interview with a gay magazine, by pretending to be gay himself.

The actor - who famously dated Cameron Diaz pre-Justin Timberlake and is now rumoured to be romancing Scarlett Johansson - openly flirted with Out writer Degen Pener during the chat to promote new movie Alexander, in which Leto plays Hephaeston, the gay lover of Colin Farrell's Alexander the Great.

After winking at Pener, and touching and flicking his nipple, the actor said: "I know I'm gay. I must be gay. I f***ing flicked your nipple."

Pener tells website The Scoop: "He was definitely flirting, but I'm not under the impression that he's going to be my boyfriend.

"I think his attitude was just: 'I'm doing an interview with a gay magazine. I'm going to have fun with it.'

"He was a genuine character. I liked him a lot. When I told him that some of his gay fans would be upset that there aren't any sex scenes between him and Colin, he said: 'If there had been, it would be the best man-on-man sex you've ever seen.'

But Leto clammed up when quizzed on his personal life: "He didn't mention girlfriend Cameron Diaz once and when I asked him who he's dating he shook his head and refused to answer."
