'Playful' Britney prepares to be step-mother

Pop star Britney Spears has been getting ready to be a step-mother, meeting the two-year-old daughter of fiance Kevin Federline.

The Oops, I Did It Again singer met Federline’s oldest child, Kori, on a film set in Los Angeles while shooting a commercial, according to People magazine.

“They were very playful,” a source told the August 23 edition of the magazine.

“They had fun. They posed for pictures. You can call it a family portrait.”

The meeting was actually the second time Spears had met Kori, the magazine reports.

The first was several weeks ago, before Federline’s ex-wife actress Shar Jackson gave birth to their second child, son Kaleb.

Spears is yet to meet Jackson.

But a friend of Jackson’s told People that there was no ill will between the two women.

“There is nothing standing in the way. It seems to be a timing thing,” the friend said.
