The Devlins play three intimate shows at Whelan’s in Dublin, kicking off tonight, to celebrate the release of their fourth album Waves.

Hailing from Dublin, The Devlins are two brothers, Colin Devlin (vocals/guitar) and Peter Devlin (bass guitar/backing vocals), Mark Murphy (guitar) and Guy Rickerby (drums).

The Devlins have upped the tempo and their targets on this record.

Their debut album Drift (1997) was hailed by Rolling Stone and Q magazine, while their following albums Waiting (1999) and Consent (2002) achieved gold.

The band featured on the Batman Forever soundtrack, one of the largest-selling soundtracks ever, while most recently contributing to the highly-acclaimed Six Feet Under soundtrack.

This autumn, the band will feature in the new Mike Nichols blockbuster Closer, starring Jude Law and Natalie Portman.

Tickets for The Devlins at Whelan’s are €18.50 and are on sale from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
