Shell gets the boot

Shell Jubin tonight became the first of the final four Big Brother contestants to be evicted from the house.

The Glaswegian student, best known for mowing the lawn wearing only a scarf to cover her modesty, narrowly escaped eviction on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old screamed and clapped her hands when Davina read out her name.

Following her eviction Shell said she wanted Nadia to win, which was greeted with cries of delight from the crowd.

She said she was disappointed not to have won but added: “One of those three guys is going to win and that’s brilliant.”

She admitted she had displayed a wild streak since arriving at the house saying: “It was a chance to rebel a bit.

“People just kicked me up the backside a bit and I had good fun from it.”

Shell’s most obvious contribution to the latest series of Big Brother has been stripping off.

Before entering the Big Brother house, the posh Glasgow University student revealed her biggest fear was “people seeing my breasts“.

Strangely, she followed this by displaying a penchant for stripping off - while taking part in an array of household tasks.

First she mowed the lawn while wearing only a scarf, and cooked dinner in nothing but an apron.

Then she disrobed completely and ran up and down the garden on learning she had won a first-class honours degree.

Most recently, she has enjoyed a bit of topless sunbathing.

Now, modelling agencies are said to want to sign her up. The Art History graduate with the quirky dress sense – legwarmers worn with tiny skirts being one of her most original outfits – had been popular with nearly everyone in the house.

But Shell has also managed to rub some of her fellow contestants up the wrong way.

Normally relaxed, Shell aimed a string of expletives at Victor during their mock wedding, and threatened to leave the house.

She did not get on with Ahmed, accusing him of being lazy.

Although there was little she could do to stop it, Shell made Michelle more than a little jealous when she was handcuffed to her boyfriend Stuart during a Big Brother task.

One of Shell’s lowest points was when the house descended into anarchy at the return of Michelle and Emma from the bedsit.

“Princess” Shell was so upset by the violence that ensued that she collapsed on the bathroom floor.

The 22-year-old was one of the early favourites to win, but escaped the boot on Wednesday when Stuart was voted out, even though bookies thought she was near-certain to go.
