Brandy: I'll become a nun if marriage fails

R&B star Brandy is so intent to make her marriage to basketball star Quenrin Richardson a success, she's vowed to give up on men and become a nun if their union fails.

The singer has recently been embroiled in a war of words with her ex Robert Smith, who revealed last month that the pair had never been married, as had been claimed, and that it was a story concocted to maintain then-pregnant Brandy's wholesome image.

Brandy has hit back, claiming their union was one which was "non- traditional". She's now looking forward to settling down with sportsman Richardson, who proposed to her last month - and she's determined for things to be a success.

The mother-of-one says: "This time, I want so badly for my marriage to work out.

"If it doesn't, I don't ever want to date again. I'll be a nun, raise my daughter and make albums.

"This has got to be it, because I don't see myself with anyone else."

Brandy also plans to have a marriage which will be easier to define this time around.

She adds: "We want a traditional marriage, where we actually have a huge wedding and my dad can walk me down the aisle and give me away."

Although no date has been set, Brandy expects to tie the knot sometime next summer.
