Sharon: 'I could have killed Ozzy'
Reality TV star Sharon Osbourne would have shot her husband Ozzy Osbourne if she had a gun when the rocker tried to strangle her in 1989.
The music manager revealed her own experience of life with a drunken and high Ozzy while interviewing female prisoners who had killed abusive boyfriends or husbands on her chat show The Sharon Osbourne Show.
Sharon recalls: "He was drinking and he was taking drugs and it got to the point where he got violent with me, and he nearly choked me to death and I called the police on him.
"He's a gift from God but if I'd have had a gun I would have used it."
The former Black Sabbath frontman was arrested at the couple's home in Buckinghamshire, England, and was ordered to stay away for the family home following charges of threatening to kill his wife.
Sharon credited her husband for remaining sober and is grateful he "turned his life around".
She adds: "Thank God I didn't have a gun, that's why I'm so against guns or knives or anything like that, because I know if I'd have had one I'd have probably tried to defend myself."
