Redknapp gives birth to baby boy

Singer Louise Redknapp, once of Eternal, has given birth to her first baby after years of trying to conceive through in-vitro fertilisation (IVF).

The singer, aged 29, and footballer husband Jamie Redknapp are delighted after baby Charlie was delivered by Caesarean section safely after doctors ordered the surgery at London's Portland Hospital.

Charlie weighed in at six pounds, six ounces (2.89kgs) and was named after Louise's late grandfather, who passed away just as the star discovered she was pregnant.
