Jamiroquai keyboardist leaves band

British band Jamiroquai have been forced to search for a new keyboardist, after their original member quit to spend time with his family.

The group's long time collaborator Toby Smith is no longer excited by the prospect of touring because he yearns to be with his young daughter.

Frontman Jay Kay said: "It is sad to see him go but I totally understand the commitment Toby feels for his family and the strains of being away from home for long periods. I wish him all the best."

The pair have left the door open to working together on future studio projects. All Jamiroquai live dates during the summer remain unaffected.
