Simpson and Lachey to leave Newlyweds
Glamorous pop couple Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey will end their popular MTV reality show this year because they're "sick of 24/7 camera coverage" and want to start a family.
The Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica stars say they can't wait to escape from the series, pointing out they will celebrate their second anniversary this October so are no longer "newlyweds".
Simpson explains: "We're done! We're not newlyweds anymore. We've had our share of the cameras. We're at a point where we'll want everything for ourselves and our family.
"I don't think we'll start a family in six months or a year, but after that, Nick's getting old. We'd love to have our own children, but we have a heart for kids, and we'd love to adopt."
The popular series has boosted Simpson's popularity, helping her album In This Skin become multi-platinum and scoring the blonde beauty an upcoming role as 80s icon Daisy Duke in the forthcoming Dukes of Hazard remake.
Lachey has also benefited from the show's success by landing himself a six- episode role on American TV channel WB's witch drama Charmed as a beautiful actress Alyssa Milano's love interest.
