Ahmed: I was insane in Big Brother house

Unpredictable Ahmed Aghil admitted: “I was insane in that house” after becoming the latest Big Brother housemate to be booted out of the reality TV show.

Unpredictable Ahmed Aghil admitted: “I was insane in that house” after becoming the latest Big Brother housemate to be booted out of the reality TV show.

After 50 days in the camera-filled house – punctuated by plate-smashing, shouting, an attempted “coup” and a plea to hug Big Brother – the 44-year-old made his confession after being asked why he would lie in bed repeating his own name.

He greeted the news of his eviction last night by punching the air and shouting “Yes!” – but then had to leave to a chorus of boos from a hostile crowd.

He was the bookies’ favourite to go, with odds of 1-20 making him the most unpopular housemate in the show’s history.

The former asylum seeker, who fled Somalia during the civil war, was eventually evicted with a whopping 945,535 votes – 56% of the total.

Fellow nominee Daniel scooped 23,778 (1.41%) of viewers’ votes, while 80,797 (4.79%) voted for Nadia, 63,154 (3.74%) voted for Shell, 91,264 (5.41%) voted for Stuart and 483,573 (28.65%) voted for Victor. In total, 1,688,101 viewers cast their vote.

The six had been in line for the chop last night after they completed their Boot Camp challenge earlier this week. Only Michelle and Jason, as sergeants in the task, were exempt.

Dan, Nadia, Shell, Stuart – together with wannabe glamour model Michelle - previously promised the public a naked diary room session if they were saved.

They also issued a plea to the public to “be nice” to whoever leaves the show – although even the mention of Ahmed’s name prompted boos from the crowd waiting outside the house.

Ahmed had survived eviction last week, when newcomer Becki was voted by the public from the house, and admitted he expected to be the next to go.

He told Big Brother in the diary room he thought he was “number one” to leave, and prepared for eviction by spending more than an hour in the bath yesterday morning.

During his time in the house he became renowned for his moaning and stroppy fits of temper, and earlier this week griped: “Everybody hates me … it’s a fact”.

“I’m not blaming anyone, but I just want to know – what’s wrong with me?

“No-one ever speaks in my favour, always against me. My role is that everybody’s against me.”

But as he left he tried to build bridges and whispered to Michelle, who was on the receiving end of a tirade earlier this week: "Let’s just forget it.”

And he told the housemates before leaving: “I’m relieved now. In a way I was feeling I was trapped here.”

After the eviction he said he had “enjoyed” the crowd’s reaction: “I did enjoy it. I respect the public, whether they boo me or applaud me. I enjoy that - they have their rights.”

Coming on the show had been the realisation of a dream, he said, but he had only expected to last three weeks.

But he admitted he had not liked the army task because he had experienced living under a dictatorship in Somalia.

He said: “There is a limit for everything.”

And he added: “I have to be myself, If I don’t like something I don’t do it.”

Earlier, so-called “Jungle Cat” Victor said he wanted to be the first contestant to have sex in the house.

The 23-year-old may have set his sights on Michelle, despite the fact that she has confessed to falling in love with Stuart.

The self-styled gangster thinks the Geordie’s sexual frustration could boil over and knows she’s not averse to having sex in the house.

He confidently told housemate Jason that if wasn’t voted out he would “have sex with someone and win”, and he thinks he might be in with a chance with the aspiring glamour model.

Victor said: “She (Michelle) likes Stu better than me but she was curious about me.”

He also reminisced about the early days in the house, when Michelle told him, “I’m attracted to you.”

Victor told Scottish muscleman Jason: “(Michelle’s) well up for banging in here, but Stuart’s not.”

Michelle has already made Private Victor strip for her during the Boot Camp task.

The pair have also had a friendly wrestle over the biscuit tin, with Michelle promising more action.

Victor has been irritated when Michelle has canoodled with Stuart in the bedroom, telling the lovebirds to “take their love elsewhere”.
