Bored into submission by war epic

If Gods and Generals is anything to go by, both sides of the Civil War must have bored each other into submission.

Set in the early 1860s just before the Battle of Gettysburg, the film follows Colonel Chamberlain (Jeff Daniels), General Robert E Lee (Robert Duvall), and General Thomas Stonewall Jackson (Stephen Lang) as they prepare for battle.
