Football pundit and former Today FM host Eamon Dunphy will join Dublin radio station NewsTalk 106 in early September.

Football pundit and former Today FM host Eamon Dunphy will join Dublin radio station NewsTalk 106 in early September.

Dunphy will present a new breakfast programme between 7am and 9am Monday to Friday.

NewsTalk chief executive Dan Healy said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Eamon is joining us.

“A groundbreaking broadcaster, it is entirely appropriate that he is coming to Ireland’s only talk radio station.”

Commercial broadcaster TV3 axed Dunphy’s Friday night chat show, The Dunphy Show, in its first season.
