Hail, King Arthur!
King Arthur, producer Jerry Bruckheimer's $100m (€80.7m) blockbuster, which was filmed largely in Ireland, has climbed to third spot in the Stateside box office, with an opening weekend take of $23.5m.
The most expensive film ever shot in Ireland - directed by Antoine Faqua and starring Clive Owen as His Maj, Keira Knightly as Guinevere and Iaon Gruffudd as Lancelot - has garnered mixed reviews, though Disney have expressed themselves happy with its opening.
The good reviews have picked out the terrific action scenes - some of the battles are spectacular - and the acting of the stars. Ireland, naturally, got great reviews ... rugged, enshrouded in atmospheric fog, smoke and snow. It opens on July 30.
