Wets do it again

Chart-toppers Wet Wet Wet have announced that the band has reformed and confirmed plans for their first Irish tour in December.

Wet Wet Wet will perform at the Point Theatre, Dublin, on Friday, December 17, and the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, on Thursday, December 16.

Tickets, from €49.50, will go on sale on Friday, July 23, from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide

The four band members - Marti Pellow (lead vocals),Tommy Cunningham (drums) Neil Mitchell (keyboards) and Graeme Clark (bass) - decided to reform after a seven-year absence from recording and touring.

The band is currently in the studio writing and recording new material, which will be included on their Greatest Hits CD and DVD.

The band’s first single together in seven years will be released in November ahead of the album.

Wet Wet Wet had three number-one singles: With A Little Help From My Friends, Goodnight Girl and, of course, Love Is All Around (from Four Weddings And A Funeral).
