Farrell planning some family time

Hollywood wildman Colin Farrell is planning an extended break after he finishes shooting his next movie, so he can spend time with his baby son.

The Irish star has made a staggering 12 movies since bursting into Hollywood in 2000 film Tigerland - and now wants to take some time out with 10-month-old James, his son with ex-love, model Kim Bordenave.

Farrell is about to begin shooting The New World, in which he plays a 17th century explorer John Smith, who falls in love with young Indian princess Pocahontas.

He says: "After that I'll probably take a break. I'll take six months off to be with my baby boy."
