Rock camps it up in Get Shorty sequel

Hollywood tough guy The Rock is set to stun fans - by playing a gay transvestite in the upcoming Get Shorty sequel.

The former WWE wrestler has made his name in Tinseltown playing hardmen characters in movies The Mummy and The Scorpion King - but he is relishing the opportunity to take on a new challenge alongside a star-studded cast in Be Cool.

He reveals: "It was an opportunity to play this character which no one would expect me to play - this gay character who had an affinity for old school country and western music.

"He's trying to break into films. And he's trying to convince Uma Thurman and John Travolta that he

belongs in Hollywood. Just picture me gay and singing a female country song."
