'Brando was bisexual' claims first wife

Late Hollywood legend Marlon Brando was a "wife-beating bisexual" - according to his first wife Anna Kashfi.

The Welsh-born actress, 70, endured a 19-month marriage with the actor until April 1959 and had a son Christian Devi with him in 1958.

Kashfi and Brando fought a custody battle over Christian for 11-years and the Oscar-winner was finally granted custody after Kashfi kidnapped the young boy and brought him to Mexico when he was 12-years-old.

In an exclusive interview with British newspaper the Daily Mirror, Kashfi claims Brando spent their married life "seducing starlets, having gay encounters - even bringing men friends home.

"He was sexually insatiable. He cheated on me on locations and when he returned to LA. There were fights in which he would beat me in front of my child.

"He could become a raging maniac, screaming abuse, threatening to kill me and himself."

Their divorce battle in 1959 hit the headlines when Kashfi was photographed hitting the actor.

Kashfi explains: "There was an awful scene at court when I became so enraged I slapped him. I told the court I'd found him in bed with a prostitute, how he taunted me with women.

"With his millions and powerful lawyers, he branded me unfit, claiming I'd threatened to kill him, that I was pill and booze addicted.

"Marlon ruined my life. I wish I had never met him."

Brando died last Thursday at the age of 80 - leaving Kashfi to reconcile with Christian.
