Courtney Love's cash-strapped internet message board is expected to be back up and running very soon, after devoted fans donated more than half the money needed to revive it.

The former Hole frontwoman recently asked her followers to make donations or purchase 'Free Courtney' tops at Getvexed.com, which will use the proceeds to pay the suspended site's server bill.

So far, more than $3,000 (€2,474) has been raised towards the $5,000 (€4,124) bill.

Love - widow of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain - is facing three pending trials and a promised stint in a rehabilitation centre as a condition of a plea entered in a fourth matter.

The singer surrendered to Los Angeles police on June 11 and was booked on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon following an alleged incident with a 32-year-old woman.

She was also due in New York's Manhattan criminal court yesterday to face charges of third-degree assault and second-degree reckless endangerment after she allegedly hit a fan with a microphone stand at a concert.
