Stateside reactions puncture Coogan film
It's all because they didn't mention County Down, as the great theme song did in the David Niven original, but the much-hyped re-make of Around the World in 80 Days has been picking up negative reactions from disappointed Stateside critics and audiences.
The film stars English TV celeb Steve Coogan and Jackie Chan - with such stars as Rob Schneider, Cecile de France and Arnold Schwarzenegger in cameo roles - and the feeling is that Coogan just isn't 'heavy' enough to carry the $100m (€82m) film.
