Dylan becomes a doctor
Folk and rock legend Bob Dylan picked up an honorary degree from British royal Prince William's Scottish university yesterday.
The Mr Tambourine Man hitmaker, 63, was made a Doctor of Music at the University of St Andrew’s in Fife's Younger Hall.
The Minnesota-born star previously picked up an honorary degree from New Jersey's Princeton University in 1970.
Doctor Brian Lang, principal of St Andrews, enthused: "His songs, and in
particular his lyrics, are still part of our consciousness.
"We are very pleased to take this opportunity of honouring such a major artist."
