Dylan honoured by university
Rock legend Bob Dylan today received an honorary degree from a British university.
Dylan was made a Doctor of Music by the University of St Andrews in Fife during a graduation ceremony at the Younger Hall.
The American icon, whose hits include Like a Rolling Stone and Mr Tambourine Man, has only ever accepted one other honorary degree, from Princeton University in 1970.
Dylan, seen as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, will tonight play the first of two sell-out concerts at the Glasgow SECC followed by a gig at the Barrowlands tomorrow.
