Nicholson shocks audience with Streep comments

Jack Nicholson shocked the audience at an award show held to honour Meryl Streep when he announced on stage how Dustin Hoffman had reportedly described the OSCAR-winning actress as a c***.

Nicholson told the stunned audience at the American Film Institute show - dedicated to Streep - how he had turned to Hoffman to find out what the blonde actress was like to work with - when he received the colourful response.

According to a newspaper report, the As Good As It Gets actor said: "Dustin said, Meryl is a c***."

Hoffman and Streep appeared together in Kramer v Kramer in 1979 as a divorced couple fighting over the custody over their son.
