No role for Naked Chef in big screen version of Jamie's Kitchen
Jamie’s Kitchen – the TV series where Naked chef Jamie Oliver opened a restaurant staffed by young trainees – is to be made into a film.
But there will be no role for Jamie. The Essex boy will become an American and the restaurant moved to New York, reported trade newspaper Hollywood Reporter today .
It said British producer Michael Kuhn’s company Qwerty Films will make the feature film.
The TV series charted Oliver’s efforts to train a group of underprivileged youngsters to staff the kitchen of his a specially created restaurant, Fifteen, in London.
Oliver’s character is being rewritten as an American, who has yet to be cast, said the newspaper.
