Sara Cox gives birth to baby girl

British radio DJ and sometime television presenter Sara Cox has given birth to a baby girl.

Lola Anne Carter was delivered at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth in north London, weighing 7lb 11oz, a BBC Radio 1 spokesman said.

It is the first child for Cox, 29, and her DJ husband Jon Carter.

In a statement, she said: “We are both totally bowled over and completely in love."
