ELEPHANT starts off with what seems like just another ordinary day at Watt High School in Portland, Oregon, as students go about their daily activities.
A group of girls swap shopping tips; one student is taking photographs for a school project; another group catch up with their studies in the library.
Alex (Alex Frost) is a little different. Tired of being the victim he spends his days listening to classical music and watching Nazi war films.
He has one other passion in his life, which he shares with his friend Eric (Eric Deulen) — guns. Somewhere along the line the train leaves the track for these two and they decide to take revenge on their innocent classmates.
Based on the Columbine massacre, Elephant is a disturbing look into the troubled minds of two young men.
Alex Frost and Eric Deulen give chillingly convincing performances as the happy go lucky killers.
A must-see for any parent who believes schooldays “are the happiest days of your life.”
