Zeta Jones helps Gran enjoy knees-up
Catherine Zeta Jones has put the swagger back in her gran's step…with a new pair of knees.
The mega-rich star paid for the 86-year-old - also called Zeta - to have the operation done privately.
Catherine told US chatshow host Jay Leno that her grandma is now running around "like a little whippet".
She and husband Michael Douglas decided on the bizarre gift after Zeta revealed she needed knee replacements but could not face the operation.
Catherine, aged 34, told Leno: "She didn't want the whole anaesthetic thing."
But a doctor was found who could perform the surgery using an epidural injection, which numbs the spine.
Gran Zeta said at her home in Swansea: "Catherine's a very generous girl, always helping people."
